Reagan McNeilis

I am Reagan, the IT Service Management Intern, and I’m a computer forensics student from Liverpool. I work with the IT Services Team to handle all things ServiceNow-related – a brilliant bunch to be a part of. My placement is going well; I’ve gained certifications with ServiceNow and have been given the opportunity to earn an ITIL foundation certificate.

What attracted you to TIP Group?

I had heard of (or seen on the motorway) TIP Group from a logistics standpoint, and the IT-oriented role stood out to me as a big opportunity. I wanted to contribute to an exciting and growing industry and that’s exactly what I’m now able to do. As a student emerging from the other side of the pandemic, a hybrid working environment also appealed to me as I could grow and evolve right alongside TIP.

Describe your experience at TIP in three words:

Motivating, connected, and rewarding.

What does a typical day for you involve?

On a typical day, I’m resolving tickets (issues raised by users) or working on ideas for improvement within the ServiceNow platform. I help to make sure that it is running correctly, and that necessary items are accessible to the users that need them, as well as keeping an eye out for enhancements that could be made.

What have you learned/developed since the start of your internship?

Since starting my internship, I have been hands-on with ServiceNow projects. I first completed a fundamentals course for the platform and was then immediately able to jump in with the rest of the team. So far I’ve worked with end users dealing with queries and ideas, built various catalogue items and deployed them, and managed BAU queries to do with ServiceNow and TIP’s workflows.

What is your favourite thing about working for TIP?

The workplace culture.

What is your favourite random fact?

Otters hold hands when they sleep so that they don’t drift away from one another!!

Have you ever met a celebrity /which celebrity would you like to meet?

I met Dan and Phil once – they were very tall

What is your favourite movie/Tv show?

Attack on Titan

What is your most treasured possession?

My childhood teddy bear, my dog chewed the nose off her when I was little, and I was so upset that I asked for the dog to go live somewhere else. The answer was no.
