Kristina Belajeva

My name is Kristina, aka. Kris by some in the office and at TIP Group and I am the Marketing and Communications Intern! The marketing team for the UK & Ireland consists of only two members, myself and my manager Ian, thus, at times it can get quite busy, especially when multiple events are coming up! Read on to find out more about me and what this internship entails.

What attracted you to TIP Group?

What attracted me to TIP Group were the opportunities I’d get to experience, as well as the skill-set I’d attain from the diverse list of responsibilities advertised!  I was looking for a placement that would offer a challenge and provide an opportunity for personal development and TIP offered just that!

Describe your experience at TIP in three words:

Exciting, demanding and worthwhile.

What projects have you been working on whilst on your placement?

Quite a few and they are all different  – the page about TIP Interns being one of them!

To date, I have worked on the TIP Group website, arranged the collection/distribution of Christmas gifts for staff and customers, supported the ‘Global Food Drive’ initiative, helped out with internal communications that promoted the health and well-being of employees, designed a graphics panel for an event and more.

On a more regular basis, I manage the leads generated through the website and the social media content, create email signatures and invitation mailers, work on and update print materials and help out with anything else that pops up!

What have you learnt / developed since the start of your internship?

Since the start of my internship, I’ve learnt a lot – professionally and personally!

In my early days, I got busy using TIP’s Content Management System and working on/building the new TIP Group website for the UK & Ireland (having no previous CMS experience!).  Moreover, I  had zero experience using Adobe InDesign, whereas now, I regularly use it to create various print materials, such as print ads, posters, pop-up banners, brochures and leaflets.

I have also got to meet and learn from many amazing people, which has strengthened my understanding of the organisation and the value different functions add to the business.

What is one thing that makes your day instantly better?

My day becomes instantly better and I feel happier when the sun is out.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

‘Never leave that until tomorrow which you can do today’ – it’s a common saying I heard whilst growing up.

Is there a football team that you support?

Nope, I am clueless when it comes to football, but I enjoy watching and supporting a team in a social setting.
