Meet the Mechanic - John

How did you begin working in the trailer industry?

When I left school, I completed an NVQ Level 3 vehicle maintenance course at college which lasted for 3 years. Following this I went straight into the industry working mainly on trailers.

What do you like about working for TIP?

I think the benefits are great but I also enjoy knowing my working patterns and not being on a shift pattern; I know that I have my weekends free! I also enjoy being out and about in the mobile van.

What’s your biggest work achievement?

I work independently on a few customer sites and they all run smoothly which I am very proud of. I am able to attend to any issues and help keep our customers happy!

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I am a keen football fan, supporting Coventry City!
