The first wet TIP annual golf day in recent years didn’t stop guests from enjoying a competitive round on the superb Greenway Hall course in Staffordshire recently.

Our EHS team, with the support of our branch operations teams, raised £1,090 for this years charity bike ride by recycling used trailer curtains rather than allowing them to be discarded at landfill.

TIP is embarking on a 12-month trial in the UK of a zero-emission, battery and solar-powered transport refrigeration unit (TRU) that has been fitted to one of its refrigerated trailers (reefers).

TIP will again be at Truckfest on 1st and 2nd June, this time in Wolsingham, near Bishop Auckland, with our team ready to discuss our available career opportunities, including via our Mechanic Academy.

TIP’s ‘Fat Bottomed Boys & Girls’ team has completed this year’s charity cycle ride, cycling approximately 300 kms from Zurich to Munich in 3 days. Support for this year’s effort, dubbed the ‘10-year Ich’, has seen the fundraising target smashed, and more than £90,000 raised so far for the Douglie Mac hospice.

Following development work done recently, TIP Hull now boasts a spacious, truck-dedicated, 3-bay workshop to provide maintenance & repair services on tractor units, rigid trucks and many specialist vehicles.

TIP returns to RTX next month, following a successful debut last year, with the team ready to discuss visitors’ trailer and truck hire and maintenance needs on its large, outdoor stand.

TIP will be at Truckfest in Lincoln throughout the bank holiday weekend, with our team showcasing the TIP Mechanic Academy and ready to discuss our available career opportunities.

We are delighted to announce that the inaugural TIP Mechanic Academy (TMA) has now concluded, with ten students successfully graduating to become professional trailer mechanics after just 9 months of training.

The ‘Fat Bottomed Boys & Girls’ team of 50 or so TIP customers, suppliers and staff ride again in May for the 10th time, raising funds for the Dougie Mac Hospice.

Since the launch of TIP Insight, TIP’s range of telematics solutions in 2020, a significant milestone was reached recently, with 10,000 units now fitted to trailers on the roads of the UK and Ireland!

Operations Director of TIP’s trucks division, Mark Carlin, has been appointed to the role of Fleet and Engineering Director as part of a restructure, following the integration of Grayrentals into TIP.
