TIP Group awarded Interfloor trailer fleet contract

We are delighted to have been awarded the contract to replace the existing trailer fleet of leading underlay and flooring accessories supplier, Interfloor, with 56 new SDC curtainsider trailers being supplied on a long-term hire arrangement, including maintenance & repair, tyre management and telematics services.

Most have been fitted with a bespoke sliding post system to provide load retention for rolls of underlay, whilst accommodating general palletised goods on other journeys. The smaller, single axle trailers have been provided with ‘positive steering’ capability for precise control in urban environments.

The trailers will be transporting rolls of flooring underlay across the country, fulfilling residential and contract flooring needs.

All trailers are fitted with TIP Insight, for track and trace functionality, and TIP’s electronic braking performance monitoring system, BrakePlus, to reduce Interfloor’s need for regular physical roller brake tests.

Maintenance, repair and compliance will be managed out of nearby TIP Nelson.
