Contintental opts for TIP trailer refurbishment

Continental Tyres Trailer Refurbishment

When leading tyre manufacturer Continental recently learned that TIP could refurbish their own trailers to give them a new lease of life and then got in touch, the team at TIP’s national Trailer Refurbishment Centre in Stoke-on-Trent were only too pleased to assist with an estimate of works and subsequent ‘refurb’.

Trailers in Continental’s fleet are exposed to a ‘heavy-duty’ loading process, which takes its toll on their assets after a while, with damage to roof, sidewalls and floor a regular occurrence. Not a problem for the experienced team of refurb dedicated specialists which proceeded to :-

  • repair roofing, adding extra protection from the rigors of the cargo
  • reseal the flooring
  • add extra protection to the sidewalls, enhancing the original specification
  • fitted rotating roof vents & LED loading lights
  • shotblasted & re-painted the chassis
  • fitted new ‘Continental’ livery
  • carried out full-service inspection & MOT

… and our new customer is delighted with the finished job and the increased lifespan that our refurb process provides.

TIP’s 41-bay facility dedicated to refurbishment of all types of trailer (& including operator-owned units) will carry out technical / mechanical and / or cosmetic refurbishments of all sizes to give your fleet a ‘second life’ and positively impact your sustainability credentials to boot !
