Great Expectations
Leading northern transport and warehousing provider Expect Distribution has just boosted its trailer fleet with the introduction of 36 new SDC curtainsiders supplied on a long-term arrangement with TIP.
The new units, which have been designed with a variety of specifications to meet Expect’s own customer requirements, such as double skinned reinforced floors and Dhollandia tuckaway tail lifts, will replace existing trailers within their 120+ strong fleet as part of a fleet upgrade programme.
The units include full repair and maintenance, via TIP Nelson in East Lancashire and are equipped with TIP Insight telematics, complete with a bespoke security installation. In addition to providing trailer tracking information, TIP Insight will also enable brake performance monitoring, as it has the BrakePlus electronic braking performance monitoring system (EBPMS) activated to help reduce the costs associated with regular roller brake testing.
TIP’s partnership with Expect goes back 5 years and has flourished over that time, coinciding with the growth of Expect’s own business, and TIP has great expectations that this will continue for some time to come.
