TIP open for business & COVID-19 steps in place

Governments have advised a number of measures designed to restrict movement and combat the spread of the coronavirus. Unfortunately, our country is now in the phase where COVID-19 circulates very actively and we’re seeing an exponential increase in the number of contaminations.

However, a large number of companies must continue their activities because they are essential for the survival of the country. These include our healthcare, food, transport and logistics professionals, amongst others. In short, you, our valued customers.

At TIP, the health and safety of our employees, customers, partners, site visitors and communities is our number one priority. As the coronavirus continues to spread, we would like to reassure you that we have taken steps to mitigate the spread of the virus and enable the safety of the people working in or visiting our surroundings, in addition to those working for and with us outside of our own locations.

We do though, remain open for business at all our locations and we are here to provide our usual services to you, as you need. Operations staff and mechanics are ready to assist you at all our branches and our commercial staff are available to support you with all enquiries.

Some of the steps we have taken :

  • Coronavirus workgroup initiated at the highest level to ensure that we are monitoring the advice and guidance provided
  • Additional guidelines in place for visitors attending all our locations, including steps to enable reduced physical contact; guidelines are provided upon arrival and additional signage has been posted
  • Regular notices to all staff regarding their additional responsibilities to ensure everyone stays safe
  • Additional hygiene measures in place at all our locations
  • Enabling teams to work remotely to a greater extent than usual
  • Additional information technology equipment made accessible and mobilised to facilitate remote communications, in conjunction with minimising non-essential travel

This predicament is evolving and is one that is unprecedented in recent times. We are monitoring developments closely and pledge to keep our staff, customers and partners informed of any changes that may impact them. Finally, I would like to reassure you that we are doing all we can to help minimise disruption to your business.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact either your usual commercial contact or TIP branch.

We would like to thank you for your continued business, your co-operation with any additional measures that we put in place and to wish that you and your loved ones stay safe.
