Greencarrier expands fleet with 15 new Krone trailers from TIP

Freight forwarding expert and existing TIP customer Greencarrier Freight Services has expanded its fleet with the addition of 15 Krone Profi Liner curtainsider trailers on long-term lease from TIP. The business has done so in response to strong demand from the marketplace and the new assets are expected to be fully utilised once in operation.

Greencarrier operates between the UK, Nordic and European countries and the curtainsiders were chosen with their loading flexibility in mind to enable them to carry a variety of cargo types from palletised finished goods to outsized loads. Aspects of the specification, such as sliding roof and multi-lock side-raves will help provide that flexibility.

The new additions are fitted with TIP Insight FleetBeat telematics systems which will have the BrakePlus EBPMS activated. This will not only allow Greencarrier’s fleet management team to track the whereabouts of their new assets, but will enable them to monitor the performance of the trailers’ braking system remotely and provide them with an alternative to carrying out physical roller brake tests throughout the year.

Greencarrier’s existing fleet of trailers will now also be fitted with FleetBeat with BrakePlus for the same purpose.

TIP will provide the maintenance services for the new trailers together with a 24/7 breakdown recovery service via its European support network.
