Sunswap partnership expands access to zero-emission refrigeration in the UK

More than one year on from its initial trial of Sunswap’s ‘Endurance’ solar and battery-powered transport refrigeration unit, TIP continues to partner with the UK-based manufacturer to make zero emission refrigeration technology accessible to UK transport operators.

TIP does so by not only making the TRU an integral part of its range of e-reefer solutions for hire, but by offering a ‘trial before you hire’ scheme, which enables temperature-controlled operators to determine the impact the technology will have on their business first-hand, ahead of any long-term commitment.

The scheme offers trials for a considerable period to enable full appreciation of the solution in real-world conditions and includes regular reporting on its performance.

Once the full impact is realised, operators can then opt to hire, typically on a long-term basis.

By offering the technology through a flexible leasing model as part of its range of e-reefer solutions, TIP aims to remove cost barriers and accelerate the transition to more sustainable cold chain operations.
