16 graduate from Mechanic Academy
Sixteen students have successfully graduated from the most recent intake to the TIP Mechanic Academy, which continues its role in strengthening technical capability across TIP’s UK workshop network.
Training at the Academy is dedicated to supporting the maintenance and repair of semi-trailers and is delivered in just nine months, before graduates return to their respective TIP branches to provide support to our UK network. It combines classroom learning with hands-on experience at both Academy and branch, followed by written and practical assessment. Graduates gain recognised industry accreditation and move onto a defined progression pathway, with opportunities to develop further technical or specialist expertise.
Since launching in autumn 2023, the Academy has trained 40 trailer-dedicated technicians and realised a 100% graduation rate.
