Meet the TIP Manchester Team

The team at TIP Manchester is managed by Mike (Branch Operations Manager). Mike has been with TIP since 2003 as an Operations Assistant, becoming the Assistant Branch Operations Manager in 2006 and the Branch Operations Manager in 2014. He has a son and his hobbies include cycling, gaming and moaning about Manchester United.

Mike is supported by Martyn, Jon, Jamie, Alex and Sam.

Martyn (Assistant Branch Manager) joined the team in October 2021 and became assistant manager for the branch in 2024. Martyn's superb analytical skills have been put to great use by the branch !

Jon (Operations Assistant) joined the team in May 2017 and quickly settled in to become a team player. Jon was brought up in Milton Keynes but is a Liverpool fan and so has been gloating a lot of late. Jon is also a keen carp fisherman.

Jamie (Operations Assistant) joined TIP in April 2019 and quickly became an integral part of the team due to his unflappable nature and can-do attitude. Manchester United fan!

Alex (Operations Assistant) joined us in October 2022 and he has become a key member of the team. Always keen to learn, his calm and friendly manner serve him well when taking on new challenges.

Sam (Operations Assistant) joined us early 2025 and he has been doing a great job working with drivers and managing incoming calls for the branch. Sam has a friendly attitude and has settled into the role nicely.

Paul (Workshop Manager) has been with the TIP Manchester team since 2013 and is one of our most experienced and respected fitters. He’s always willing to help everyone with little fuss when needed.

Dave (Operations Workshop Driver) is our longest serving member of staff going all the way back to 1995! Dave has vast experience of driving trailers and we don’t know what we’d do without him!

Chris (Workshop Mechanic) joined the team in 2013. Chris has become one of the most dependable fitters in the workshop - always here every day and always steps up to help others when needed.

Dave (Workshop Mechanic) joined in September 2020 and established himself as well-liked in the workshop and is a valuable member of the team.

Carl (Workshop Mechanic) likewise for Carl, who also joined in September 2020.

Darnell (Workshop Mechanic) started as an apprentice in 2021 and has since become a fully qualified technician with a bright future. We’re lucky to have him.

James (Trainee Mechanic) joined TIP in 2015 working in the office, but has since switched sides to become a trainee mechanic. James is very keen to learn and we look forward to him being an integral part of the team.
