Meet the TIP Grays Team

Being located on the outskirts of the capital, and with excellent access from the M25 motorway and both Tilbury and London Gateway ports, our Grays branch is always a busy one; it often sees over 50 trailer 'movements' in a day! In order to meet the needs of customers, the team there needs great energy and good focus on the task at hand. Led by Branch Manager Mark Tierney, that's just what they have.

team in the office

The team in the office is made up of (pictured from left to right), Billy Carter, Keith Axon, Mark Tierney, Kirk Sleet – and also new member, Aron Cooper (not pictured).

Billy Carter (Operations Assistant) has been with the team since 2019 but for the others, it feels like much longer! Already a highly valued member of the team.

Keith Axon (Workshop Manager) is another relatively new member of the team who does a great job looking after the guys in the workshop.

Mark Tierney (Branch Manager)  joined TIP from school and has never worked anywhere else! Mark is extremely well thought of and is a ‘go to’ guy for training new colleagues and for other TIP regions who want to know ‘how it is done’. Up the Hammers!

Kirk Sleet (Assistant Branch Manager) has 'stepped-up-to-the-plate' following promotion as Mark's assistant not too long ago.

The workshop team

The workshop team is one of the largest of any TIP branch. Pictured from left to right are Nick Silwood, Jayden Lloyd-White, Fitz Henry, Oliver Williams, Callan Tierney, Brett McCarthy and, the main man, Dave ‘Percy’ Parker.

The rest of the team is made up of Barry Patient, Cliff Callaway, Gary Holt, Scott Holt, Paul Hammond, Dave Cox, Steve Clarke and 'tanker' Steve.

There’s a wide range of characters at the branch but they make up a great team and can always be found working together and helping one another out.

Over the past few years, the branch has invested in the 'younger generation' as part of the TIP Apprenticeship Scheme. We have one qualified apprentice, one soon-to-be and two new apprentices all of whom are brining some great new ideas to the team.

Sales Account Manager

Last but not least, and heading the branch's commercial responsibilities, is Russell Hamilton (Sales Account Manager). Russ has been with the business and in the industry for many years and has a wealth of experience in managing customer  accounts in the region, and, well, hiring trailers! Spurs fan.
