First of several new reefers to be added to McLanachan Transport fleet

TIP is delighted to have supplied the first of a batch of brand new reefer trailers to longstanding Glasgow-based customer, McLanachan Transport.

McLanachan Trailer

Equipped with latest advancements in refrigeration technology and other specification features (e.g. moving bulkheads to split the trailer into three compartments) that meet MTL’s operational needs, the new Gray & Adams trailer is provided on a long-term hire basis, which includes maintenance and support services from TIP’s Glasgow branch. The addition forms just part of MTL’s fleet expansion plans.

The trailer will be used to transport pharmaceutical products on behalf of MTL clients, and so features that the Thermo King Advancer A-500 Spectrum ‘multi-temp’ refrigeration unit reportedly provides, such as precise control, fast ‘pulldown’ times and low ‘cost-of-ownership’ should all prove greatly beneficial.

The trailer also sports newly re-branded livery for MTL and is another product of TIP working in partnership with, not only its customer and trailer manufacturer, but also refrigeration unit specialist Thermo King Northern to deliver the right solution for the operation.

McLanachan Trailer and TIP Group Glasgow Team

TIP has been supporting the MTL fleet operation by providing a range of short-term rental, longer-term lease and maintenance & repair services for around fifteen years - and long may it continue!
