FBB&G is back after 2020 puts brakes on TIP’s annual charity bike ride
The uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic surrounding travel and social gatherings meant that TIP’s ‘Fat Bottomed Boys & Girls’ charity bike ride unfortunately could not take place in 2020. However, thanks to restrictions easing, the FBB&G team is back and preparing to ride once more to raise money for two fantastic causes.
On the 29th September, this year’s team of 40 cyclists, made up of TIP customers, industry partners and employees, will take part in a three-day, 300kms, arduous cycle ride in the hope of raising much needed funds for the Alzheimer’s Society, who campaign for research and support for those affected by dementia. Moreover, we are once more supporting the Donna Louise children’s hospice, who provide care for terminally ill children and their families.
Whilst a little shorter than the previous ‘Man ‘o’ War’ event in Portugal (pictured below), this year’s route looks extremely lumpy so the cyclists are sure to suffer from a few sore parts!
With the tough couple of years we’ve all experienced, the FBB&G team is determined to smash the target and add to the £300,000 that has already been raised over the past seven years.
The target this year is £60,000 and whilst we are already off to a great start, every donation, whatever the amount, is greatly appreciated.
