TIP opens first truck road center with secure parking - Delta Park Truck Secure Parking
AMSTERDAM, 26 April 2019 – Thursday, April 4, in the presence of 300 guests, TIP Trailer Services opened its first multi-service truck road center with secure parking. The site is located in Dourges and provides 146 parking spaces for logistics operators looking for a secure and comfortable parking place in this high traffic area near the A1/E17.
“Our main concern being the safety of goods and drivers, we have ensured that this site uses the latest technologies available in terms of video surveillance and access control”, says Didier Felice, Vice President Mediterranean Region – South of Europe. The secure parking has a perimeter fence with barbed wire, a 24/7 security guard, video surveillance by thermal camera and a special access control of heavy trucks and pedestrians.
”We meet the standard PSR1 of TAPA and Gold of the European Union, according to the results of the study on secured parking trucks published in February 2019”, adds Didier Felice. Many services allowing the driver to rest in the best conditions of comfort are also available 24/7: showers, free wi-fi, laundry and snacks. A restaurant located at the entrance of the parking completes this offer of services.
Reservation of parking spaces is recommended, using applications such as Truck Parking Europe and SNAP, or by email (booking.deltapark@tipeurope.com). It is also possible to park without reservation: just go to the entrance of the site where a digital display shows the number of available places remaining.
In case of a technical problem on the road it is possible to visit the TIP Trailer Services workshop that is located onsite, as well as the pneumatic services Profil+ Best Of Pneu. Both are available 24/7.
Delta Park Truck Secure Parking 1km from the junction of the A1 and the A21, the busiest road hub in Europe with more than 25,000 heavy trucks passing daily.
