TIP launches Earned Recognition service & gets DVSA validation

TIP is delighted to add ‘Earned Recognition by TIP’ to its portfolio of services in order to support transport operators that are interested in attaining DVSA Earned Recognition status.

Whatsmore, TIP has just become a validated IT supplier to the DVSA’s Earned Recognition Scheme, courtesy of its ‘Earned Recognition by TIP’ platform.

In case you aren’t aware, Earned Recognition is a DVSA scheme, free and voluntary to join, whereby operators effectively ‘manage’ their own compliance, in terms of maintenance and drivers’ hours. In return, those operators enjoy a reduced-level of ‘intervention’ by the DVSA, namely roadside stops and visits to their premises.

The new service introduced by TIP not only provides operators with access to an Earned Recognition module to monitor the performance of the maintenance ‘key performance indicators’ (KPIs), as required by the DVSA, but also provides the support necessary to enable them to achieve (or retain) the ‘exemplar’ level of operator status. Examples of that support include provision of maintenance and repair documentation, data input, maintenance ‘key performance indicator’ monitoring and a proactive approach to resolving related issues.

TIP’s IT teams have worked over the past year or so to develop the Earned Recognition module and ensure it meets the DVSA’s Earned Recognition IT System Requirements, in addition to incorporating it into FleetRadar™, TIP’s one-stop portal for all things compliance-related.

The system’s visually-appealing ‘dashboard’ helps operators see at-a-glance how they are performing in terms of maintenance compliance, and helps them to demonstrate to the DVSA that they have effective processes in place when it comes to maintaining their vehicles.

Having seen a growing interest in Earned Recognition from its customers, TIP was keen to ensure it had a solution to support their needs as and when they look to pursue Earned Recognition status with the DVSA, hence the development of the ‘Earned Recognition by TIP’ platform.

Following discussion with the DVSA over a period of months regarding the ‘Earned Recognition by TIP’ platform, TIP has now become a validated IT supplier to their scheme.
