New Mechanic Academy Launched by TIP

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the ‘TIP Mechanic Academy’, a ‘first of its kind’ in the commercial vehicle maintenance and repair sector.

TIP Group's Mechanic Academy Logo

Commencing in the autumn, and delivered at our TIP Nuneaton branch, budding mechanics will be trained on ‘everything trailers’ in a period of just nine months, before returning to their local TIP branch as a certified TIP mechanic. That’s very different from the industry training period norm of three to four years!

The program will cover a wide range of maintenance and repair related topics and will be delivered as a mix of theoretical and ‘hands-on’ practical sessions to ensure trainees are fully equipped to carry out the day-to-day responsibilities of a fully-fledged mechanic.

Two Mechanic Trainees - TIP Mechanic Academy

It’s an exciting initiative from TIP, one that’s being rolled out globally, and presents a great opportunity for those looking to kick-start a career as a HGV trailer mechanic. Places in the Academy are limited and are sure to fill up fast.
