TIP opens new branch in Shepshed

TIP, leading provider of trailer rental, leasing, maintenance, repair and associated services, has opened a new branch in Shepshed, Leicestershire, complete with purpose-built trailer and truck maintenance and repair workshop.

Located immediately off Junction 23 of the M1, and sitting nicely between Leicester and Nottingham, the 3.5 acre site was, until recently, just a parking location for TIP trailers but, following extensive development work commencing last September, it has been transformed into a fully-equipped, state-of-the-art trailer and truck hire and maintenance depot.

Central to the development was the construction of a brand new, spacious 8-bay workshop to accommodate the maintenance and repair of semi trailers and trucks of all shapes and sizes. The workshop has a dedicated Authorised Testing Facility lane, three further inspection pits, cleaning bay and two roller brake testers. Two of the bays are dedicated to truck maintenance and repair.

The site also offers secure parking for up to 120 trailers / trucks to provide ample capacity for HGV assets that are available for hire.

The branch, which now welcomes new trailer and truck rental and maintenance enquiries, is part of TIP’s ongoing programme that is re-developing former Ryder sites UK-wide.

The team based at the branch is a mix of those transferred from other TIP locations and employees that are new to TIP, with recruitment still in process for some technician roles.
