TIP recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Manufacturing, Production & Transportation™
PRESS RELEASE: 18th September 2026
TIP has been recognised as a Best Workplaces in Manufacturing, Production & Transportation™ by Great Place to Work® UK, in the Large & Super Large category 2026.
The recognition celebrates organisations with strong workplace cultures and employee experiences across the manufacturing, production and transportation sectors.
For TIP, the achievement is especially meaningful because it is shaped primarily by employee feedback. Great Place to Work’s Trust Index survey asks more than 60 questions about workplace experience, including trust, leadership, development, wellbeing and whether employees feel able to reach their full potential.
The recognition builds on TIP’s strong track record with Great Place to Work. The company first became Great Place to Work-Certified in the UK in 2022, and in 2023 was also named one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing, recognising its focus on employee wellbeing, work-life balance, fulfilment, psychological safety and financial security.
“Being recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces is something we can all be incredibly proud of,” said Mike Furnival, Managing Director TIP UK & Ireland. “What makes this recognition particularly meaningful is that it is based largely on what our people say about their experience of working at TIP. It reflects the culture our colleagues create every day through teamwork, support, a commitment to safety and the way we look out for one another.”
TIP continues to invest in employee development and career opportunities across its UK operations. One example is the TIP Mechanic Academy, launched in 2023 to address the shortage of qualified trailer technicians and provide a dedicated route into the profession.
The nine-month programme combines classroom learning, online education and hands-on workshop experience. Following the graduation of its latest cohort in 2026, the Academy has trained 40 specialist trailer mechanics in the UK, with a 100% graduation rate. Graduates can also access further professional development and progression opportunities.
“Investing in our people is fundamental to our future,” continued Furnival. “The Mechanic Academy is a strong example of this in action. We are not only recruiting for the skills we need today; we are helping people build careers and develop the expertise we will need tomorrow.”
Great Place to Work’s current UK profile highlights the strength of TIP’s employee experience, with 71% of employees saying TIP is a great place to work, compared with 54% at a typical UK company. The profile also reports strong employee perceptions of fairness, welcoming new colleagues and workplace safety.
The latest recognition comes as TIP continues to grow and evolve in the UK and across Europe, with a focus on full-service transportation solutions spanning equipment rental and leasing, maintenance and repair, digital solutions and sustainable services.
