TIP expands workshop network in Poland
Szczecin, 2 September 2019 - TIP Trailer Services (TIP) announces the acquisition of Top Truck Center in Szczecin. As of September 1, 2019, TIP takes over the workshop and the entire team of Top Truck at ul. Pomorska 142, 70-812 Szczecin.
As part of its expansion strategy, TIP is further expanding the workshop network in Poland and Europe-wide. According to TIP the acquisition will support in serving existing customers even better, as well as starting cooperation with new customers and to meet the growing demand for services in general. Pawel Lis, Head of Workshops Poland at TIP, says: “We would like to further strengthen our footprint with regard to workshops in Poland, and are delighted that we have another well-equipped workshop now in Szczecin that will enable us to increase the productivity and availability of our own but also external fleets.”
The workshop is located northwest of Poland, close to the border of Germany and Poland. It is equipped with an MOT bay and 5 repair bays. An extension with 3 more bays is planned for the middle of next year. Then trucks, trailers, swap bodies and chassis will be serviced on 1296m² workshop area.
Maciej Pawlak, owner of Top Truck says the following about the sale: “I am very pleased that TIP Trailer Services has taken over my workshop and to know my employees and customers will be in good, professional hands.”
Maciej Pawlak will keep on working as Workshop and Branch Manager for TIP. All 17 employees, of which 12 mechanics will be employed by TIP from now on.
The new location offers a comprehensive range of services for the commercial vehicle industry. TIP offers a high-quality service program for commercial vehicles of all kinds, from which various service modules can be used to derive a tailormade solution for the customer. Even without a maintenance contract, you are always welcome. Among the services offered: technical inspections, such as safety tests and functional testing of safety-relevant components according to the statutory requirements, and the preparation and demonstration of the trailer for main inspection (MOT). A brake test stand is available, and bodywork and minor painting work can also be carried out in the new TIP workshop. Of course, the mobile service unit for on-site maintenance and repair and handling breakdowns in the Szczecin area will continue to round out the TIP service. TIP not only grants its rental customers access to its professional network of service providers Europe-wide, but companies with their own commercial vehicles can also profit from the TIP service for maintenance and repair.
