TIP Mechanic Competition 2023/2024 : we have our winners!

After 2 successful editions, we closed the 2023/2024 Mechanic Team Competition with a new podium of talented mechanic teams.

What is the Mechanic Team Competition?

In 2021, TIP launched its first international Mechanic Team Competition (MTC) to highlight and celebrate our mechanics’ skills, knowledge, and talent in an internal global competition. Mechanics interested in testing their technical skills against colleagues participate in duos within their workshop, competing against each other in 4 different rounds:

  • 1st round: Internal workshop competition
  • 2nd round: National competition
  • 3rd round: Regional competition
  • Final round: Final in our workshop in Valencia, Spain

All rounds were completed with special attention to safety awareness measures considering the safety of the participants.

  • At every level the teams had to compete on three individual elements:
  • Practical ability, such as skills, speed, and quality
  • Theoretical knowledge, with the difficulty increasing each round
  • IT proficiency of the team players, such as how to find technical data and how to use TIP’s software

Winners of each round got to proceed to the next one, and the jury was composed of internal workshop managers and maintenance experts.

Winners of the 2023/2024 competition!

The final round was held on Tuesday, April 23rd in Valencia, Spain. Five teams competed against each other for the last time.

We are thrilled to announce the 2023/2024 Mechanic Team Competition winners – and the results were very closed! Team Benelux won the final, Team Finland came second, and Team UK placed third. A huge thank you and congratulations to all the other finalists, but also every team that competed across all levels – you all did stellar job!

TIP is very proud and happy to have such talented mechanics. We were delighted to organize this initiative, and we would like to thank all TIP employees who supported us throughout the competition.
