TIP expands locations in Germany

Neuss- TIP Trailer Services (TIP) is relocating its branch and expanding to better serve its customer’s needs. On 1 February 2019, the TIP branch moved to Jagenbergstraße 4c in Neuss. Thus, the former rental location becomes a full-service branch including a workshop for commercial vehicles.

Just 5 minutes away from motorway junction Neuss South and therefore easily accessible from the A46 and A57, TIP’s newly equipped workshop is ready and fully equipped to offer transport companies and owners of commercial vehicles maintenance and repairs service for their fleet.

Marco Servas, workshop manager of the branch in Neuss, says: “On four bays (of which three are passable) and an additional repair shop for vehicles up to 3,5t, we will now be able to really accelerate and repair and service the commercial vehicles of our customers as fast as possible and with the highest quality standards.”

At the new workshop location, trailers and swap bodies of every type are maintained and repaired. The offered services include: technical inspections, such as B-services and the preparation and demonstration of the semitrailer for main inspection (MOT). The TIP workshop is also equipped for bodywork and minor paint work, as well roller brake tests for cars and trucks. Of course, the mobile workshop vehicles for on-site maintenance and repair will continue to round out the TIP service.

Peter Marquardt, Regional Operations Leader at TIP says: "We are currently servicing more than 22,000 customer-owned vehicles in Europe and will be happy to extend this through further business deals in the coming months. The relocation and expansion of the workshop in Neuss should help us meet the high customer requirements and meet the growing demand for services. This will enable us to increase the productivity and availability of our own and external fleets."

Setting up the workshop created eight new jobs. The workshop manager is a current TIP employee and was previously active as mechanic at Castrop-Rauxel branch. Six newly hired mechanics will take care of the inspection, maintenance and repairs at the workshop, and a seventh mechanic will operate the mobile workshop to do on-site repairs for customers.
